A clearer way to help your child understand their body, recognise feelings and develop self-regulation skills.
Regulation Ready is a structured online learning program for parents and children aged approximately 4–15. With separate age-appropriate child sessions, parent teaching and ongoing support, families have a guided way to learn and practise together.
Your child may know the rules, understand what you are asking and even be able to tell you what usually helps. But when something changes, frustration builds or the day has simply become too much, using that knowledge can be much harder.
Perhaps small setbacks quickly become big reactions. Maybe your child becomes unusually silly and active, has trouble shifting into the next part of the day, or goes quiet and withdraws when things feel overwhelming.
You may already be doing a great deal to help, yet still find yourself wondering what your child needs to learn, what to practise and how to support them between the difficult moments.
Knowing what to do and being able to use it are two different stages of learning.
There is plenty of advice about helping children manage big feelings. Some ideas can be useful in a particular moment, but isolated strategies do not automatically give a child the understanding or practice needed to use them independently.
Self-regulation develops gradually. Children benefit from learning about themselves when they are ready to engage, revisiting ideas, practising with adult support and having opportunities to apply their learning in everyday life.
Regulation Ready brings that learning together in a structured curriculum for the parent and child, rather than leaving families to piece it together on their own.
Each of the 10 sessions includes teaching for parents and two child-session options. Choose the child session that best suits your child's developmental level, then work through the learning at a pace that allows time for practice.
Each session includes dedicated parent teaching to help you understand what your child is learning and how you can support that learning at home.
Choose from a younger child session, approximately 4–10 years, or an older child session, approximately 10–15 years, with teaching suited to different developmental stages.
Use the accompanying activities and resources in everyday life, with fortnightly releases giving your family time to revisit each topic before moving on.
There is no need to wait for the next group intake. The first session becomes available as soon as you enrol.
After that, a new session unlocks every two weeks. That spacing gives you time to explore the parent and child materials, revisit what your child is learning and try the home activities before the next topic arrives.
You'll have access to the program for 12 months from the date your first session unlocks, so you can return to teaching and resources as needed.

I'm Esmé, a paediatric occupational therapist with 25 years of experience working with children and families.
Over the years, I've worked with many children who can explain a rule or name a helpful strategy when everything is going well, but find it much harder to use that knowledge when the demands of the moment increase.
I also know how much effort parents put into supporting their children. Often, what is missing is not willingness or another activity to try, but a clear way to teach and practise the skills over time.
Regulation Ready brings parent understanding and child learning together. My role is to guide the teaching and provide the structure. Your role is to learn alongside your child and help them practise in the situations that are part of your everyday life.
This program is designed for parents and children who would benefit from structured learning about self-regulation, with an adult available to support learning and practice at home.
Regulation Ready is an educational curriculum, not an individual occupational therapy assessment or a personalised treatment plan. Children with complex or urgent needs may require individual assessment and support alongside, or instead of, a group learning program.
There is no expectation that children will always remain settled or stop having strong feelings. The focus is on developing understanding and skills over time, with support appropriate to their stage of development.
Start with the first session immediately, then continue through a carefully paced 10-session program with parent teaching, age-appropriate child sessions, home resources and weekly live Q&A support.
Both options include the same complete program and 12 months of access from your first session unlocking.
Educational program only. This program does not replace individual assessment, medical or psychological care where required.
No. Each topic has two child-session options, one designed for younger children (approximately 4–10) and one for older children (approximately 10–15). You choose the option that suits your child's development and understanding.
Both. Every session includes dedicated parent teaching and a separate child session. The parent component helps you understand and support the learning, while the child component provides age-appropriate teaching for your child.
Immediately. Session 1 unlocks when you enrol. Each subsequent session is released two weeks after the previous one, until all 10 sessions are available.
The 10 sessions are released fortnightly, allowing approximately 20 weeks for the paced learning experience. You retain access for 12 months from the date the first session unlocks, so you can revisit materials later.
There is a weekly live office hour for questions about the program and how to work with the learning at home. Email support and the private Facebook group provide additional ways to stay connected.
The age ranges are approximate and overlap deliberately. Choose the younger or older child version according to your child's developmental level, understanding and preferred presentation style.
The program provides accompanying resources and home activities. Any materials needed for a particular activity will be explained within the relevant session.
No. Regulation Ready provides structured education and opportunities for home practice. Families who need individual assessment or highly personalised support may benefit from one-to-one occupational therapy.
The complete program is AU$270 when paid upfront or AU$300 when paid over five instalments of AU$60. Both options include the same learning materials and access.
Your child does not have to master self-regulation all at once, and you do not need to assemble a learning plan from disconnected ideas. Regulation Ready gives you a structured place to begin, with teaching and support to return to as your child's understanding develops.
