Your Pattern:
The Avoider
Your answers suggest your child may pull back from tasks that require fine motor control.
Avoidance is often misunderstood.
Sometimes it reflects a task feeling heavier than it looks — especially if the effort required is higher than the visible outcome.
When a child anticipates difficulty, frustration, or fatigue, stepping away can feel safer than pushing through.
This doesn’t mean they’re unwilling.
It may mean the task is costing more than we realise.
In the free session, I’ll unpack what avoidance can tell us about underlying effort — and how to recognise when it’s not about behaviour at all.
