I offer evidence-informed OT to help you understand your child’s needs and take clear, practical steps forward.
Occupational Therapy isn’t about ticking boxes or applying one-size-fits-all advice. It’s about understanding your child’s unique way of experiencing the world, and using evidence-informed tools to help them feel more settled, engaged, and successful in daily life.
We don’t jump to conclusions. We take time to assess your child’s strengths, challenges, and goals and work with you to create a plan that fits your family.

I’ve spent over 25 years supporting children in clinics, schools, and private practice as a senior Occupational Therapist. My approach is evidence-informed, family-centred, and always grounded in real life.
I trained in South Africa at the University of Pretoria, and later completed advanced post-graduate certifications in Ayres Sensory Integration® through globally recognised programs.
Before all this, I worked with young adults in the military. An experience that taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of meaningful work.
After moving to Western Australia in 2008, I founded SPOTS Therapy in Bunbury. Skill Sense OT is the next chapter of that journey, shaped by decades of working alongside families.
I’m also a mentor, lifelong learner, and proud mum of two adult sons.

When a child is struggling, families need more than guesswork or surface-level strategies.
That’s why I’ve invested in advanced, internationally recognised training ,to offer support that’s grounded in evidence, not assumptions.
I’ve completed two in-depth programs in Ayres Sensory Integration®, with over 180 hours of training focused on sensory processing, motor planning, and clinical decision-making. This allows me to assess complex challenges and offer therapy that’s as practical as it is personalised.
SIPT Certification (University of Southern California)
Training in gold-standard assessment tools for identifying sensory and motor planning differences.
CLASI CASI Certification
A rigorous post-grad program in neuroscience, assessment, intervention planning, and fidelity to the ASI model.
This additional training deepens my ability to understand and assess the underlying factors affecting children’s participation in daily life — and helps me tailor therapy to each family's context and goals.
